1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the KJV Bible Tooltip service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

KJV Bible Tooltip provides a JavaScript widget that converts Bible verse references on your website into interactive tooltip links displaying King James Version scripture text. The Service includes an API, user dashboard, and associated documentation.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must register for an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API key. You must not share your API key with unauthorized parties or use it on domains not associated with your account.

4. Free Tier

The free tier is available for personal, non-commercial use and is limited to 10,000 page views per calendar month. When this limit is reached, the widget will cease to function until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade to a paid plan. "Page views" are counted as individual API requests made by the widget from your website visitors' browsers.

5. Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe at the rates displayed on our pricing page. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months. Churches, organizations, and any commercial use requires a paid plan regardless of page view volume.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to: (a) engage in any illegal activity; (b) transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service; (c) attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls; (d) resell or redistribute the Service without prior written consent; (e) use the Service on websites containing content that is hateful, violent, or pornographic in nature.

7. Scripture Content

The King James Version of the Bible is in the public domain. We make no proprietary claim to the scripture text delivered through our API. We do, however, retain all rights to the widget software, API infrastructure, and associated code.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice to registered users.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. In no event shall KJV Bible Tooltip be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your API key will be deactivated and the widget will cease to function on your website(s).

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
